I am sitting at my desk with what can only be described as frankly scary hair (see what the rain does?!) and I am utterly transfixed with delight.
Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day is quite the most delicious book, and I am sorry to have finished it. If you can lay your hands on a copy, do....

Glad you're enjoying the weather (fun until dog-walking time when the mud is knee-deep)! I've rather enjoyed a Peter Tremayne book, called 'Smoke In The Wind', bought from the local library for all of 10p, it is based in Celtic Ireland and Wales (they are a series based on an Irish dáilaigh, or daw-lee, a local judge/magistrate). It was very good indeed!
Have a good weekend :)
